In Cyber Data Risk & Resilience (CDRR), we deliver first-line defenses to manage Cyber and Fraud risks to Morgan Stanleys technology, operations, and information. This allows the business to operate and grow in a secure and compliant manner. The Non Financial Risk (NFR ) organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Global Financial Crimes, Non Financial Risks and Operational Risk division. The Financial Crimes Technology (FCT) IT organization among other things is responsible for the support of the Firm's Anti Money Laundering (AML), Enterprise Client Risk Ranking (ECRR), Single Client View (SCV), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) Sanction Screening programs and Negative News Screening programs. Enterprise Customer Risk Ranking (ECRR) model has been implemented into the Firms primary business line onboarding systems to provide a consistent, quantitative approach to assessing a risk ranking to new and existing customers. ECRR considers various inherent risk factors associated with customers, products, services, and geographies. The customer risk rank assigned by ECRR informs both due diligence requirements and frequency of periodic review. The application suites process large volumes of disparate firmwide data into the calculation engine/mathematical model. Additionally, the collected data is used to support Business Intelligence and Analytics Processes. Responsibilities: Candidate will be working on existing and new initiatives within the ECRR suite of applications. Initiatives include customizations for evolving business needs as well as architectural and infrastructure improvements. This role will be responsible with activities including design, develop, test, and deploy the code following Agile principles. The candidate is expected to be able to communicate well with global teams, adapt rapidly and learn fast. Sound judgment will be required to understand complex business use cases, design appropriate solutions, develop the underlying implementation and leverage teams strength for application success. Financial domain knowledge, understanding of AML and Customer Risk ranking quantitative methodologies is an advantage. Our current technology stack includes Java, Spring Boot, REST, Angular JS, Kafka , MQ and DB2. The team makes extensive use of open source state-of-the-art Java technologies. The team incorporates agile methodologies including Scrum, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery in its development processes. We are looking for a strong hands-on technologist who is passionate about technology, has strong experience developing Java-based systems, is proactive and is an excellent team player. The work involves handling large volumes ( 36 millions a day) of Customer and Transactions data into the daily/weekly batch process, multi-processing/multi-threading enhancements to meet daily business SLA timelines, Realtime REST services providing responses in sub-second.
