Job Description

Summary 


You will work in our Cloud Engineering Team and proactively drive continuous improvement of productive landscapes, coordinate incident management across the layers and development teams. We are looking for energetic result oriented, solution engineers with broad technical knowledge around PaaS (Platform), SaaS (Services), Infrastructure (IaaS) to develop and/or enhance critical components and Tools. Development, automation would be expected of supporting utilities that enable efficient day to day Cloud Operations.


Play a significant role in the team to provide, protect and improve the software and systems behind productive services of SAP Busines Technology Platform with an ever-watchful eye on their availability, performance, and capacity.


What you'll do


Design and Build Tools and Framework:
  - Lead the design and development of tools and frameworks to enhance operational efficiency.


   - Ensure that the tools and frameworks align with industry best practices and support the organization's goals.


Drive Automation and Standardization:
   - Implement automation strategies to streamline operations and ensure consistency.


   - Advocate for and implement standardization practices to enhance overall team efficiency.


Complex Problem Solving:
   - Tackle problems of complex scope using standard programming concepts and principles.


   - Respond to detailed queries with a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.


Solution-Centric Attitude:
   - Prioritize solutions that contribute to the success of business-critical services.


   - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions.


Cross-Collaboration:
   - Work in a cross-collaborative environment, fostering effective communication and teamwork.


   - Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.


Contribute to Operations Model:
   - Participate in the development and improvement of the operations model.


   - Define and enhance operational processes and procedures.


Engage in Monitoring and Incident Management:
   - Oversee monitoring processes and actively participate in incident management.


   - Contribute to problem management processes to prevent recurring issues.


Drive Technology and Engineering Best Practices:
   - Lead the adoption of technology and engineering best practices within the teams.


   - Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to ensure adherence to best practices.


Continuous Improvement:
   - Engage in continuous improvement activities to achieve effective results.


   - Identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to drive continuous improvement.


Foster Innovation:
    - Cultivate a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging creativity in product development, processes, and developer efficiency.


What you bring


  • At least 6+ years of experience in software development.
  • Solid understanding of Design patterns, J2EE architecture, cloud architecture, etc.
  • Expertise in a popular framework like Spring (Spring MVC, Spring Boot) is a must.
  • Experience with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle) and data access tools (e.g., Hibernate, JPA).
  • Deep knowledge and hands on experience in Java
  • Enhanced analytical, problem solving skills
  • Agility and Adaptability
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effective solutions with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of Python, Javascript, will be good.
  • Good Knowledge with Cloud Computing is a plus.
