Java Developer

Introduction
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining internal and external facing performance and capacity planning tools. The tools drive IBM z revenue by supporting IBM and Business Partner sellers and tech sellers with technical sales activities involving IBM z hardware and software.

Your Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibility involves collaborating with peers on performance and capacity planning tools (CPS Tools) developed in Java. Tasks include building, installing, configuring, and enhancing CPS Tools (CP3000, zPCR, zBNA), as well as creating supporting collateral.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2-5 years of experience in IT Industry creating efficient, scalable, and high- performance web applications.
• Proven work experience as a developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous projects
• Strong, hands-on Java experience
• Agile Methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• CI/CD Tools: Git, GitHub, Travis CI, Jenkins, Artifactory
• Exceptional knowledge of data structures, algorithms, enterprise systems, and object-oriented programming
• Open Shift, Kubernetes and Docker
• Python / Javascript
• Basic Linux/Unix knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience to effectively partner, collaborate, and influence others in a highly matrixed organization on a cross-functional team to achieve goals
• Collaboration with Sellers and Technical Sellers across the Americas and with IBM Z Development teams
• Agile Scrum expertise
• Jira experience
