Applications Development Programmer Analyst – C10
The Applications Development Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for
responsible for writing code, pairing with other developers as appropriate, decomposing acceptance criteria to understand team backlog deliverables, complexities, and risk, while working as a strong contributor in Global Wealth Technology.
We are seeking for an application development programmer analyst for Client Onboarding, Employee Engagement and Servicing Team in Global Wealth Technology Department. The successful candidate will interact with development, testing, and production support teams.
He/she requires good communication skills across both technology and the business and will have a high degree of visibility. The candidate will be a rigorous technical lead with a strong understanding of how to build scalable, enterprise level global applications. This candidate would be responsible for the development, and maintenance of Commercial cards Customer Operations System.
The ideal candidate will be dependable and resourceful software professional who can comfortably work in a large development team in a globally distributed, dynamic work environment that fosters diversity, teamwork and collaboration. The ability to work in high pressured environment is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures and concepts, and basic knowledge of other technical areas to identify and define necessary system enhancements, including using script tools and analyzing/interpreting code
- Identify and analyze issues, make recommendations, and implement solutions, Resolve issues by identifying and selecting solutions through the applications of acquired technical experience and guided by precedents
- Apply fundamental knowledge of programming languages for design specifications, Utilize knowledge of business processes, system processes, and industry standards to solve complex issues
- Identify problems, analyze information, and make evaluative judgements to recommend and implement solutions
Consult with users, clients, and other technology groups on issues, and recommend programming solutions, install, and support customer exposure systems
- Conduct testing and debugging, utilize script tools, and write basic code for design specifications
- Assess applicability of similar experiences and evaluate options under circumstances not covered by procedures
- Adheres to best practice principles including modern cloud-based software development, agile and scrum, code quality, and tool usage
- Develop working knowledge of Citi’s information systems, procedures, standards, client server application development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, data center operations, and PC-based applications
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of Java/JEE experience, Springboot & Microservices (Mandatory)
- Experience designing and developing cloud native applications with a microservices architecture running on Docker, OpenShift/Kubernetes platform
- Application development experience using Java, Spring, SQL, REST APIs, Kafka/ IBM MQ, CI/CD tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Tekton, Harness
- Experience in system design and programming of microservice based applications
- Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
- Strong analytical, inter-personal and problem-solving skills with the ability to innovate and a can-do attitude.
- Quick learner with the ability to multi-task, manage tight deadlines, adapt to changing requirements and deal with ambiguity without impacting delivery.
- Detail-oriented and self-organized individual with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive and self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running. Willingness to ask questions, challenge the status-quo and seek out answers and a passion for continuous process improvements.
Desired skills:
- Solid understanding of SOA concepts and implementations
- Experience with GenAI tools like ChatGPT, Co-pilot
- Ability to prioritize and manage schedules under tight, fixed deadlines
- Ability to produce professional, technically-sound solutions
- Strong writing, communication, time-management, decision-making, and basic task organization skills.
