A Deputy Head of Learning and Research (Junior school) is required for this renowned international school in Mumbai in India. This is an opportunity for a once in lifetime experience of life in India and affords low cost living!
Role:
Reporting to the Head of Juniors, you'll play an important strategic role in developing, promoting and implementing the school's learning and teaching strategy, objectives and development plan. You will supervise and support a team of learning coaches, programme coordinators, instructional coaches and the technology for the primary and middle school. You'll also conduct regular classroom observations and provide feedback supporting teachers to improve and enhance their intructional practices. Ultimately, your goal is to foster a culture of collaboration, professional growth through coaching, mentoring and resource allocation.

Salary and Benefits:
1. Generous tax free salary of $33-58,000 USD per year depending on qualifications and experience (low cost living) - plus generous leadership stipend for this role

Role requirements:
1. Must be a fully qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education or degree and teaching qualification (PGCE etc) along with suitable teaching experience
2. Relevant experience is critical - ideally you will have held a similar position supporting the leading of teaching and learning
3. Ideally you will have IB curriculum experience - however teachers who adopt the IB philosophies of an inquiry based approach are welcome to apply
4. Previous international teaching experience is welcomed
5. Previous experience of working with students who have English as their second language is advantageous
6. Flexible and adapatable with a genuine interest in life in a busy Indian metropolis
