What you'll do


In your role as Manager for Procedure Productization you will lead and further grow a diverse team of engineers owning lifecycle management procedures used in our large-scale Cloud environment. The team is responsible for technical procedures, its standardization and automation around RISE Provisioning with focus on technical migration and integration. Besides new topics in those areas, it is also the responsibility to stabilize and continuously improve robustness of the procedures in close alignment with the Operations teams. With that you are creating a direct impact to improved TCO and customer experience. You will work in a dynamic environment leading a team and interacting with internal ECS-teams, the development organization and our partner network.


You are responsible for: 


  • Lead and further develop a team of technical experts 
  • Define smart goals for the team and its individuals and manage their performance 
  • Identify development areas and align development goals with the team 
  • Regularly review and challenge KPIs 
  • Coach the team and act as an advisor on both technical and none-technical topics 
  • Together with the team, improve quality of service delivery and lower TCO via increased standardization and automation 
  • Supporting and driving tool and automation requirements and strategy 
  • Supporting or driving projects 
  • Streamlining and coordinating new requests for the team
  • Overall management representative of ECS Delivery Productization in SAP Labs India

What you bring:


  • Ideally 2-5+ years of professional experience as IT manager/lead in an SAP/Cloud environment and overall Experience of 11+ is preferred.
  • Experience with SAP Migration Tools SWPM, SUM and SAP HANA system replication on conceptional and hands-on basis
  • Project management experience in executing large End-to-End Implementations and/or large Cloud Migrations of SAP Applications, HANA Database Migration, Upgrades, OS/DB Migrations, S/4HANA Conversion Projects etc.
  • Strong OS (Linux), Database (SAP HANA & SAP ASE) and system operations (Monitoring, Backup, IDM etc.) know-how as well as multi-cloud platforms
  • Preferably work experience within ECS (or similar Cloud LoB) 
  • Proven track record as functional team lead and in successfully managing complex projects 
  • Expert experience with IT Architecture and major SAP Cloud Management Tools (e.g. SPC, LaMa, etc.) 
  • IT process standardization and automation experience are highly recommended 
  • Self-starter, with proactive and independent working style including strong result orientation and execution focus 
  • Strong team player & interpersonal skills 
  • Experience working in global team setup 
  • Ability to interact, engage and negotiate with ECS stakeholders including C-level communication 
  • Experience with management reporting including metrics and key performance indicators
