Job purpose The IT Senior Project Manager at PHINIA plays a critical role in delivering impactful IT projects that support the organization’s technology strategy and business objectives. This role combines technical understanding, project management skills, and stakeholder engagement to execute and drive projects to completion. Key responsibilities


  • Project Management: Manage IT projects from planning through execution and close, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure project goals are aligned with business objectives and contribute to the organization's broader strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business units, providing clear project updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams, engaging both IT and non-IT stakeholders effectively.
  • Resource and Budget Management: Oversee project resources and budgets to optimize efficiency and financial viability.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, establishing contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
  • Vendor Management: Work with vendors to ensure high-quality service delivery and adherence to project standards.
  • Process Improvement & Governance: Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes for increased effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Organizational Change Management: Support change management strategies for IT projects, fostering team and stakeholder adaptation to new systems.
  • Agile Practices: Apply Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban to enhance project delivery, foster team collaboration, and encourage continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for


  • Experience: At least 7-8 years of IT project management experience, with a strong record of successful project delivery, technology adoption, and change management, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certifications (Certified Scrum Professional, SAFE) are a plus.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, with experience in team coordination and stakeholder engagement.
  • Project Alignment & Execution: Ability to align project goals with business strategy and manage complex IT projects effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage with team members, stakeholders, and leaders effectively.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate project challenges and deliver solutions.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with current IT trends and technologies, particularly those relevant to the automotive industry.
