Role: IT Scrum Master, Global Planning SIOP

Location: Kharadi, Pune

The IT Scrum Master, Global Planning SIOP for Global IT Supply Chain, will facilitate Agile Scrum processes, guiding & coaching the team on principles and practices to ensure collaborative, efficient delivery of high-quality products. The individual will work with the product developer & the team to prioritize the product backlog and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of quality work. Critically, this role coaches and mentors the team, fostering continuous improvement and consistent objective achievement while contributing to process/efficiency improvement roadmaps.


What will you be doing?


  • Drives the team's adoption, usage, and advancement in the Agile methodology. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal and external collaborators to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals. Facilitate and coordinate Agile Scrum processes within the company.
  • Work closely with the product owner and development team to plan and implement sprints, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews. Facilitate the Scrum process, remove obstacles, and ensure that the team follows the Agile principles and practices.
  • Works independently and simultaneously on multiple projects with various domain experts to understand the current business process landscape, enterprise alignment, and growth.
  • Help to guide and coach the team, thereby driving process standardization. Guide and coach the development team on Agile principles and practices, ensuring alignment to the Scrum framework. Remove impediments and blockers to ensure the team can deliver high-quality solutions efficiently.
  • Work with the product developer to prioritize the product backlog. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging the team to experiment, learn, and adapt.
  • Support the team in achieving a high level of performance and quality, holding them accountable for their commitments.
  • Drives effective collaboration and coordination internally and externally to the team so that requirements are clearly defined and objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with product owners to manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
  • Coordinate with multi-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of Kinaxis Rapid Response solutions, SAP, Axapta ERP, and data lake foundations.
  • Monitor and measurably improve process capability and report on team performance, using metrics to drive improvements and ensure transparency.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective.
  • Identify and solve obstacles that are hindering the team’s progress. Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and feedback sessions.
  • Communicate project/scrum status, risks, and issues to collaborators. Track critical metrics and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time.
  • Ensure that the team follows the Scrum framework and adheres to Agile principles. Help the team to define, analyze, and document business requirements.

What will you need to be successful?


  • Bachelor's or master's degree or equivalent experience in a business management or information technology field.
  • Should have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as IT Scrum Master, preferably in an Agile setup with Global IT Supply Chain Planning, SIOP, environment.
  • Prior experience working in a global healthcare or manufacturing organization is helpful.
  • Should have a general conceptual understanding of programming, and database querying is preferred.
  • Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM), is an advantage. SAFe certification and Kanban certification are a plus.
  • Jira experiences a big plus!
  • Proficiency in working optimally with teams from various functions.
  • Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools, such as Jira or Trello.
  • This position requires exceptional collaboration, teamwork, negotiation, influence, and relationship-building skills at all levels with internal and external parties in addition to Smith & Nephews key values.
  • Communicates and negotiates effectively, written and verbal, formal and informal.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global multi-cultural environment and drive harmonization and standardization.
