The IT Resource Manager oversees hiring and resource allocation for USI Programs, planning, and support for local office personnel. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Department Leaders, hiring managers and Technology COEs. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, monitoring resource demands, and supporting a pool of IT professionals.


  • Lead and facilitate future resource needs with department heads to understand resources and skill sets needed


  • Screen candidate profiles and conduct technical interviews prior to scheduling interviews with department leaders


  • Collaborate with department leaders to forecast resource needs and adjust allocations as project priorities change.


  • Serves as an escalation point for over/under allocations of assigned team members.


  • Conducts screening, interviewing, and recommendations for hiring


  • Serves as the local primary point of contact and coach, monitoring performance and facilitating resource-related issues and conflicts.


  • Ensure resources are properly onboarded (both locally and globally), trained and understand standard operating procedures


  • Working closely with USI and US leaders to gather the various applications requests and prioritize them as per pool availability


  • Works closely with COE leaders to ensure proper onboarding, standards, best practices, and SOP’s are understood by all local staff.


  • Provide regular reports on resource utilization, availability, and project alignment.


  • Analyze resource allocation trends and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency


  • Maintain a comprehensive inventory of assigned IT resources, including skill sets, experience levels, and availability.


  • Identify skill gaps and work with different project teams to recruit, train, and develop IT personnel as needed.


  • Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or MCA


TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS


  • Microsoft Office skills (Project, SharePoint, OneNote)


  • Thorough understanding of IT application lifecycle and methods; Waterfall and Agile (Preferred)


  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to create effective documents and review them with key project stakeholders and multiple levels of the organization


  • Effective organization and time management skills


  • Strong attention to detail


EXPERIENCE


  • 5-8 years of Resource Management, and people management experience


  • Proven experience in managing IT teams and resources in a dynamic environment.


  • Previous experience working in a large organization, professional services firm or CPA firm


  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities.


  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.


  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
