Job Summary:
The IT Procurement Specialist would be responsible for managing the procurement process for IT hardware, software, and services. This role involves coordinating with Stakeholders, IT partner Team, Supplier ensuring compliance with company policies, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions. The ideal candidate will need to have a strong understanding of IT products and services, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
·Identify and evaluate procurement requirements and vendors for IT products and services.
·Negotiate the contract terms and pricing with vendors to ensure cost effective procurement.
·Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions for IT equipment, software, and services.
·Good understanding of Indirect Commodities like MRO, Packaging, IT, Telecom, Contingent Labor, Professional Services, Engineering Services etc…
·Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.
·Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
·Resolve any issues or discrepancies with vendors in a timely manner.
·Maintain accurate records of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses and warranties.
·Assist in the preparation and management of the IT procurement budget.
·Monitor expenditures and ensure procurement activities are within budgetary constraints.
·Identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
·Evaluate and assign IT tickets, determining whether they pertain to renewals or require the attention of the commodity manager.
·Collaborate with requestors and suppliers to manage renewals, ensuring seamless continuity of services or products.
·Conduct thorough due diligence on supplier onboarding documents to ensure compliance with company policies.
·Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
·Maintain comprehensive and organized documentation of all procurement transactions.
·Prepare reports and analysis on procurement activities, vendor performance and cost savings.
·Work closely with the IT team to understand their needs and provide timely procurement support.
·Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of procurement activities with overall business objectives.
·Provide training and support to staff on procurement processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
·Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in IT procurement or a similar role.
·Knowledge of Tools /ERP i.e. Oracle, SAP, Service Now, Ironclad, Coupa
·Strong knowledge of IT products, services, and market trends.
·Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
·Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
·Strong organizational and time management skills.
·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
·Proficient Skills on Microsoft Office Tools
