Job Title: Transition Manager (24/7 Operations)


Job Description: The Transition Manager is responsible for overseeing the smooth transition of business operations, services, or projects in a 24/7 operational environment. This role includes planning, coordinating, and executing transitions with minimal disruption to continuous business operations. The Transition Manager works closely with stakeholders, clients, and technical teams to ensure that transitions occur seamlessly, maintaining round-the-clock availability for critical support as needed.


Roles and Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end management of transition projects, from planning through execution, ensuring that all objectives are met within scope, timeline, and budget.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, to define transition requirements and expectations.

Identify potential risks and issues during the transition and develop mitigation plans to minimize business disruption.

Ensure the efficiency of new processes, workflows, and systems as part of the transition, aligning with business goals and company best practices.

Oversee the creation of documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for teams impacted by the transition.

Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the transition and address any post-transition issues that arise.

Lead the change management process, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed, prepared, and supported through the transition.


Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.

Min 5+ years of experience in transition management, and 8+ years operations management, with a track record of successfully managing transitions business environments.

PMP or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Familiarity with IT systems, business process optimization, and the ability to understand technical requirements for transitions.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills to effectively manage cross-functional teams and engage with stakeholders.

Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and adapt to dynamic business environments.

Expertise in identifying risks and developing contingency plans to address potential disruptions.

Ability to manage multiple transitions concurrently in a fast-paced environment.


Additional Requirements:


·       Must be available for on-call support during critical phases of transitions, including weekends and after-hours, to ensure smooth operations in a 24/7 environment.


·       Some travel may be required based on project needs.


·       Experience managing transitions across multiple time zones and working with global teams is a plus.



Job Description

B.Sc/BE/B-Tech in computer science/Electronics or equivalent.
