A Day in the LifeMedtronic is hiring an IT Developer. As an IT Developer, you will be a key member of our IT team, specializing in implementing and managing complex integration solutions. Leveraging your extensive technical expertise and deep understanding of integration technologies, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization's integration strategy and driving innovation within the integration landscape. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth expertise in webMethods suite including Integration Server, Trading Networks, Universal Messaging, Broker Server, MWS, BAM/BPM, API Gateway, Enterprise Gateway, MFT (Active Transfer Server), webMethods.io, Informatica, ETL tools, Kafka to implement robust and scalable integrations.
- Solution Implementation: Implementation of integration solutions, ensuring they meet technical specifications, quality standards, and adhere to best practices. Provide hands-on technical expertise as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives, exploring new tools, techniques, and methodologies to enhance integration processes, efficiency, and performance.
- Troubleshooting and Support: Identify and resolve integration-related issues, ensuring the stability and reliability of integration solutions. Collaborate with support teams to provide timely resolutions.
- Solution Implementation: Oversee the end-to-end implementation of complex integration solutions, including the development of APIs, connectors, middleware configurations, and data transformation processes. Ensure solutions adhere to best practices and architectural standards.
- Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior members of the team. Promote a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize integration solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability. Identify and address potential bottlenecks and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architectural diagrams, design documents, and integration patterns.
- Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, integration trends, and industry developments. Explore and recommend innovative solutions to improve integration processes, efficiency, and overall system performance
Required Knowledge and Experience- 4+ years of progressive experience in IT integration with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information technology, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to lead the development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise or global solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines.
- Participate in integration design activities working with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and peer Team Members.
- Proven expertise in integration technologies, middleware platforms, integration design patterns, messaging frameworks, and API management, ETL tools, data transformation techniques and ESB frameworks.
- Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design a solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity without unnecessary enhancements.
- Experience working with Real Time & Near Real Time integrations, including Message Oriented based message handling techniques and with Cloud technology AWS.
- Design and handle integrations using XML, IDOC, BAPI, EDI, Flatfiles, Java, webservices, API management, Integration cloud, Hybrid-Integration, Cloud streams and experience /Knowledge in designing CI/CD solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise database technologies like Oracle, DB2, and MS SQL Server.
- Experience or strong knowledge of communication and data handling protocols (AS2, AS4, PGP/GPG, S/MIME, HTTPS, FTPS/SFTP/SCP/POP3/SMTP, Web Services/SOAP/REST, etc.)
