What IT Cloud Resiliency Engineerto Cardinal Health (CAH) :


They architect and implement Availability, Disaster Recovery and Backup/Recovery services and solutions.


Job expectations : 


Architect resiliency solutions for cloud, hybrid-cloud and on-premise technologies (automation, recovery scripts, backup solutions, high-availability, failover).Lead effort to develop availability, failover and recovery scripts or automated resiliency capabilities to ensure critical technologies are continuously available, secure and hardened.Responsibilities include:


  • Recommend resiliency solutions along with implementation and configuration of resiliency related code / automation
  • Research, analyze and document architecture of technology components as well as interdependencies, networking and firewall requirements
  • Develop recovery scripts and test/troubleshoot numerous failure scenarios in those new environments
  • Lead the implementation of resiliency solutions using automation, resiliency technologies, distributed computing, cloud operations, hybrid cloud environments, and cloud migration projects
  • Perform Availability and Disaster Recovery testing
  • Manage, review and approve resiliency plans
  • Work with project teams to identify and document resiliency risks and remediation plans

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Strong knowledge of or certification in AWS, GCP or Azure preferred
  • Experience with AWS Services (EC2, RDS, Lambda, S3, EFS, Loadbalancer, VPC, Security Groups…)
  • Experience with GCP related services to deployment of code (GCE, GKE, GCS, Cloud Volumes, VPC, Firewall Rules, LoadBalancer, Cloud SQL, GCP Cloud Functions…)
  • Experience in engineering, architecture, and distributed systems experience (Redhat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9, Microsoft windows server operating systems, SAN, NAS, Networking, etc.) in enterprise environment.
  • Experience with managing NFS and SMB file shares, mount point parameters, Splunk queries, DNS records.
  • Recent experience with Shell and Python scripting or programming in using modern programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, Go, Perl, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of data management across disparate locations (replication techniques of filesystems and multiple databases, eventual consistency constraints, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of network failover strategies and relationships to application Web/API designs (DNS, load balancers, F5 etc.)
  • Knowledge on SMTP, Tanium, LDAP, Okta, Apigee, Backup Technologies
  • Disaster Recovery, High-Availability, testing, resiliency patterns, and program knowledge
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development practices
    • BA/BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience

  • AWS – Amazon Web Service
  • Redhat Enterprise Linux 7/8/9
  • Windows Server 2016-2022
  • Network/Firewall rules
  • NFS/SMB
