A Day in the LifeTo strengthen our Service & Repair IT team, we are looking for an IT Business Analyst who will be working with other IT business analysts and our business counterparts on further developing and enhancing our IT solution to support our global Service & Repair strategy.
As an IT business analyst, you will play an important role to further develop and roll-out the IT solution, ServiceNow (SNOW), used to support Case Management processes for medical equipment used in hospitals. You will be responsible for assessing, designing, and developing enhancements in conjunction with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.


  • Engages with business leaders to understand how strategies and data-driven changes can improve efficiencies and add value.
  • Work with data sets to define use cases to improve products, processes and/or services.
  • Collaborates with Business Relationship Manager (BRM), business stakeholders and IT Product Owners / Managers to develop business requirements for product or system changes.
  • Drives business agenda during solution delivery process.
  • Functional Skills: Ability to analyze data and trends in order to develop recommendations to solve business problems.
  • Additional Skills: Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication.
  • Technology: Understanding of systems, software and technological concepts, Familiarity with data analysis tools and data modeling methodologies.
  • Lead business requirement discussions. Gather, evaluate, and document business needs and requirements and translate these into functional specifications and business process maps for medium complex changes.
  • Participate in project and design reviews to evaluate and ensure that the design being applied meets policies, principles, and standards of Medtronic Global IT.
  • Responsible to drive changes and enhancements through the change management process, including change coordination, communication with stakeholders, performing functional unit tests, coordinating user acceptance tests, cutover tasks and hyper care support.
  • Coordinate development and support activities with external partners.
  • Build up and maintain our knowledge repository.
  • Provide 3rd level support activities for SNOW related issues, which consists of analyzing and helping to resolve software related issues escalated by the support team and recommend solutions.
  • Support SNOW application which is highly integrated, candidates need to learn dependencies with other systems like SAP.
  • Work with stakeholders in different time zones.
  • Need to comply with global IT validation procedures which can be complex and time consuming.
  • Work in a highly dynamic and challenging environment
  • The work contributes directly to the well-being of patients
  • Ability to participate in both internal and external training programs with the purpose to enhancement technical and soft skills..
  • Being able to successfully implement system solutions supporting the Medtronic mission with a team of professionals.

Required Knowledge and Experience:


  • 3+ years of IT experience with Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability, self-motivation, enthusiasm, positive attitude and perform as a team player.
  • Working in a methodical and detailed manner.
  • Excellent communicative skills, especially in English.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in clear verbiage to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong background in SNOW CSM module.
  • Experience with gathering, documenting and challenging business requirements.
  • Ability to work from our Medtronic facility in Hyderabad minimum 3 days per week. Remaining days can be worked from “home office”.

  • Should be resilient and perseverant
  • Needs to able to handle direct feedback
