Job Description

The Investment Banking CCAR FP&A Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for providing management with an analysis and insight of financial results in coordination with the broader Finance team. The overall objective is to apply analytical thinking, knowledge of data analysis and methodologies to create and analyze reports that gauge alignment with forecasted performance.
Responsibilities:


  • Compile results from Investment Banking models for M&A, ECM and DCM. Coordinate compilation between Mumbai and NY
  • Work with LFOs to understand business drivers, model structure, data, model expectations, and determine champion model construct and structure
  • Review & Analysis of the Base and Stress scenarios. Produce required materials for senior management review or other analytical materials for CCAR results review (finance and business) including overlays and other adjustments
  • Be able to identify material variances and their drivers at the individual products and total IB level
  • Produce results as per the overall CCAR calendar. Best in class execution of CCAR production through the most efficient processes and automation of all key and complex processes
  • Ensure results are reconciled to system and targets. Provide and make adjustments entries as necessary
  • Understand limitations of the models including data and work to enhance as possible in the next development
  • Understand the Ruby setup of responsible models. Determine the right set up in consultation with Ruby tech and modeling team to align with the model construct
  • Resolve questions from Corporate PPNR and the Central CCAR teams
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy


Qualifications:


  • 3-6 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
  • Experience in financial services, preferred
  • Knowledge of financial, analytical, and reporting tools
  • Quick learner in Ruby entries, mechanics, adjustment categories, reporting, Ruby cube query, Ruby scenarios and other operational matters 
  • Ability to analyze huge amounts of data, variables, drivers and summarize the impacts of models
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, Excel and PowerPoints skills, preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
