Role Definition


Forecasts inventory of the facility for Annual Business planning / RBM cycles and ensures the plan is met. Arrives Inventory target and measures and reports at periodic interval on progress against the target.  Classifies inventory into various categories and arrives control methodologies to reduce and improve the inventory turns. 


Responsibilities


  • Forecast inventory for the business planning cycles
  • Perform A-B-C classification on inventory items and provide control methods for each category
  • Coordinate with material planners for de-expedition of inventory based on volume cycles
  • Work closely with business resources team to forecast excess and obsolete inventory and identify opportunities to liquidate followed by create provision for the risks
  • Calculate safety stocks for the products based on availability offered to Customers, low runners and 2 bin materials
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly inventory reports for the review with management

Degree Requirement


Bachelors in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent experience desired


Skill Descriptors


  • Excellent skills in Microsoft excel and power point.
  • Working knowledge on visualization tools like Power BI / Tableau
  • Ability to create macros for automation of simple spreadsheet routines.
  • Data analysis and provide insights based on data

  • Assesses common problems and obstacles surrounding data-gathering.
  • Customizes data fields to meet clients' needs.
  • Interprets and explains results of a data-gathering initiative.
  • Participates in projects to gather data for needs analysis.

Inventory Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to effectively manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods.


Level Extensive Experience:


• Ensures that the inventory is at an appropriate level and meets both internal and external requirements.


• Devises standard inventory management benchmarks to improve the processes.


• Provides guidance on inventory management for a specific product group or location.


• Applies systems and processes to identify and coordinate inventory requirements; resolves conflicts.


• Coordinates daily work of inventory management for different locations within a facility or a supply network.


• Reviews reports used for inventory management to find out related problems.


Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.


Level Working Knowledge:


• Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions.


• Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain.


• Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products or components.


• Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities.


• Works with a specific part of supply chain management process.
