You will be part of Manufacturing Operation-India, Global Supply Chain, Mining who supports Capital and Service for Materials, Warehouse & Logistics. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges. This department works closely with both our internal and external customers to ensure FLSmidth equipment’s on time delivery and customer satisfaction.


Your responsibilities


Inventory Management:


  • Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records, including data entry and regular updates.


  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records to ensure accuracy.


  • Manage inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.


  • Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures and best practices.


Stock Optimization:


  • Analyze inventory data to forecast future needs and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.


  • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to plan and adjust inventory levels based on demand, lead times, and production schedules.


  • Identify and address slow-moving or obsolete inventory items, proposing strategies for their utilization or disposal.


Receiving and Dispatch:


  • Oversee the receiving process, ensuring that all incoming materials and products are accurately inspected, counted, and recorded.


  • Coordinate the timely and accurate dispatch of materials and products to production lines or customers, ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed.


Reporting and Analysis:


  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other key metrics for management review.


  • Provide insights and recommendations for inventory management improvements based on data analysis.


Compliance and Safety:


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse.


  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.


System and Process Improvement:


  • Utilize inventory management software and other tools to track and manage inventory effectively.


  • Continuously review and improve inventory control processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.


Team Collaboration:


  • Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless inventory flow and alignment with overall business objectives.


  • Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on inventory management practices and procedures.


What you bring


  • Proven experience (5~7 years) in Inventory management.


  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, logistics processes, and warehouse operations best practices.


  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, and other relevant technology tools.


  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.


  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.


  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and driving continuous improvement.


  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.


  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements related to warehouse operations
