Responsibilities
As the Internal Communications Manager at DHL Supply Chain India, you will develop and execute strategic communications plans in conjunction with key stakeholders which are fully aligned to new business growth and in line with the organizational communication plans laid out for the country. You would have end to end responsibility of managing the internal communications content pipeline, management of distribution lists, creating a communications channel matrix and tracking performance of all channels/messages. You will also have responsibility to manage intranet portal used for internal communications. You will report achievements using the specified tools to capture information and monitor internal communications performance matrix and oversee all communications activity across the country to ensure all materials adhere to the to global brand guidelines and communications are formally approved by global & regional corporate communications team
Key focus areas
Developing Communications Strategies
- Develop and implement comprehensive local internal communication plans that align with the company’s strategy by collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure successful campaign execution.
- Coordinate with the regional communications team to drive regional and global campaigns in India.
- Closely collaborate with regional & global communications teams to stay informed on news, strategies, learning from other countries and system changes.
Content and material Creation:
- Story hunting - Reach out to on ground & senior stakeholders and be in the lookout for compelling stories that can be shared with employees.
- Content Creation: Develop content such as celebratory content (New Business Win announcements, Marquee Renewals, External Award victories, customer award wins), thought leadership content, thematic content & internal campaigns on marquee events such as employee opinion surveys, Safety Week, Global Volunteering Days etc across various internal communication channels. Write, edit, translate, and oversee the production of various internal communications, including videos, email announcements, employee-related articles, and Smart Connect (company intranet) posts.
- Conduct photo / video shoots as required for internal communications channels.
- Work with India leadership teams to create internal communications content on quarterly/half yearly / year ender messages.
Events
- Support in organizing and promoting internal events, meetings, and initiatives to boost employee morale and engagement e.g. CEO townhalls, annual conferences, other event promoting company’s strategy
- Gather feedback from employees and acting on it to improve internal communication strategies.
Managing & Measurement of Communication Channels
- Oversee the use of internal communication tools and platforms (e.g., email, Smart Connect, MS Teams, Viva Engage etc).
- Be champion of the digital communication intranet platform “Smart Connect” - drive the activation, stickiness and engagement rate as per global’s KPI.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current communication channels and suggesting improvements.
- Analyze the effectiveness of communication campaigns and channels of internal comms to make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communications
- 5 - 6 years of experience directly related to public relations and/or corporate communications
- Excellent command over English language
- Transportation and logistics industry or sector background will be a plus.
- Strong project management, able to handle multi-tasks with time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft office applications and being social media savvy is a plus.
- Good ability to use the video editing or graphic design programs.
- Proven event management experience
- Excellent communication skills and extensive knowledge of Microsoft office applications. Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is a plus.
