Job Description:


Job Summary – Intermediate Scrum Master
As a Scrum Master with BSA experience, you will play a crucial role in facilitating Agile methodologies and ensuring successful project delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders to drive project success and improve team performance. Your BSA experience will be instrumental in understanding and translating business requirements into actionable tasks.
 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Act as a Scrum Master for multiple Agile teams, facilitating all Scrum ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives).
  • Guide and coach the Scrum team on Agile practices and principles, ensuring adherence to Agile frameworks.
  • Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborate with product owners to define and refine the product backlog, ensuring clarity and prioritization of user stories.
  • Assist in the development of user stories, acceptance criteria, and task breakdowns.
  • Leverage BSA experience to gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Facilitate effective communication between business stakeholders and the development team.
  • Track and report on project metrics, including team velocity, sprint progress, and release plans.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to identify and implement process enhancements.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.
  • Support the team in maintaining and updating the Scrum Board and other Agile tools.
  • Capture and analyze Estimates vs. Actuals to improve future planning and estimation accuracy.
  • Engage in Sprint Review and Retrospective sessions, ensuring feedback is captured and action items are addressed.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of total experience in the IT industry, with at least 3 years as a Scrum Master and 1 years in a Business Systems Analyst role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and best practices.
  • Experience in gathering and documenting business requirements, creating user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Proven ability to facilitate and lead Scrum ceremonies effectively.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex project environments.
  • Proficiency in Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and project management software.
  • Certification in Agile (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) is a plus.
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
