Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and outstanding Intellectual Property (IP) administration professional to join the Siemens Healthineers in-house IP team. The IP administration professional role is multi-faceted and will include close working with various stakeholders from IP and business across geographies. The primary focus will be in assisting the IP team in protecting Siemens Healthineers Intellectual Property including patents, trademarks, designs, open-source software, copyrights, and trade secrets. As a business partner, the candidate is expected to contribute to the success of the business by closely working with businesses to provide end-to-end IP support to meet the objectives of the business.


Responsibilities:


Responsible for implementation and administration of IP management systems and associated processes.


Maintain data integrity for all the IP management systems and tools to ensure accuracy and completeness.


Responsible for docketing work including contract management, billing, inventor renumeration management and reporting.


Support in-house IP professionals and inventors with invention disclosure handling activities.


Support in-house IP professionals in preparing and filing patent applications.


Support in-house IP professionals and businesses in execution of agreements, assignments, and declarations.


Responsible for preparation of IP reports for business and IP counsels.


Collaborate with IP colleagues across different geographies for the IP administrative activities.


Communicate and coordinate with the internal and external stakeholders.


Support innovation management in the organization and contribute to key initiatives.


Qualification, Relevant Experience and Skills:


The candidate must have at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.


The candidate must have 4-5 years prior relevant experience handling and implementing IP administrative activities and processes.


The candidate must have experience in docketing and/or working with IP management systems.


The candidate must have good understanding of procedures with patent laws and/or general IP procedures.


The candidate must be well versant with MS-office tools like Word, Outlook, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.


The candidate must be detailed oriented, process driven and highly organized.


The candidate must have good communication and collaboration skills to work in large, complex organization and to interact with key stakeholders across geographies.


Additional certifications/trainings in IP/Patent law and/or paralegal work would be an advantage.


Aptitude to learn tools relevant for IP lifecycle activities.


Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
