INOPC is the operation center for Hitachi Energy, located in Chennai. This center is operating since 2007 and has grown in multiple skills and competence and fully integrated part of Global businesses. As Business Manager at INOPC-Service, Chennai you will be responsible for a strategy, operation, resource planning, competence development and people development. You need to collaborate with various cross-functional groups/teams, suppliers and customers. You will act as a “sounding board” within the organization. Analysis and risk management will also be among your tasks. You will in many ways be the person at the center of things. Your leadership skills will make your business successful in every direction. You will be part of the Operations Management team of the Service Business Unit and functionally report to the Head of Service Operations. Responsibility Strategic  Participate in business unit’s strategic work and develop road map.  Workout future scope expansion and competence development.  Drive operation development for the local organization. Operational  Resource planning on a long term in collaboration with global organization.  Ensure KPI of the business (e.g. on time delivery, FPY, productivity)  Ensure achieving financial budget.  Run routine review & follow-up with the project team and other cross-functional Teams.  Recruitment, competence development & retention.  Accountable for the business as per Hitachi Energy compliance, Integrity, Health & Safety People  Responsible for personnel assessments / people’s review, target setting for the direct reports. Identify people’s development area(s) and implement. Identify key competence area and have succession planning. Soft Skills & Personal Leadership Strong communication and collaboration skills required. Good intercultural sensitivity. Strong leadership skills. Strong proactive service mindset and culture. Ability to synthesize complex matters. Strong customer and people orientation. Qualification Requirement Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Electrical / Electronic preferred. Has previous experience of People Manager for at least 15+ years with a team size of at least 100+. Basic knowledge in Hitachi Energy portfolio is preferred. Experience in critical infrastructure Service and digital preferred Sound English language knowledge.
