JOB SUMMARY
A Injection Moulding CAD Designer (Computer Aided Design) will work directly with engineers to generate CAD models and drawings. This may include working on new designs or the modification of existing designs. These responsibilities cover the disciplines of both MCAD and ECAD.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Familiar with the basic use of CAD design tool.
. Good Design Knowledge of 2 Plates and 3 Plates Injection Mould.
. Should have Knowledge of Material Flow Analysis.
. Utilizing CAD Software to create detailed mold designs
· At the appropriate process phase gates, will create and enter a complete design package.
· Work concurrently with other Design Services departments, Business Unit Management, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality departments through the design phase of a program.
· Work to provide a design that not only meets the customer’s criteria, but also provides high quality, cost effectiveness, and manufacturability.
· Provide technical support for all manufacturing builds including engineering prototypes, NPI & production releases.
· Use data collected in production in subsequent programs to ensure continuing improvement in designs.
· Stay abreast of the latest technology and techniques to provide designs that are competitive and cost effective.
· Follow the direction of Engineers, Sr. Designer, Lead Designers or the Design Manager.
· May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

· Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.

· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.

· Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
