IntroductionIn this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
The infrastructure running industries likes transportation, energy, insurance, banking, or healthcare is quickly changing as the world’s relationship with technology evolves. Companies have more choices than ever before between on-premises, off-premises, or a hybrid approach. Our Infrastructure Specialists are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Support Infrastructure related troubleshooting and resolve issues. Willingness to support in rotational 24/7 shifts if need be.
- Background in Linux/Unix/Windows system administration. Experience in 1st and 2nd line support (ticketing systems)
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Solid experienced in building infrastructure using Amazon Web Services platform. Strong knowledge on server migration from legacy to Cloud AWS Strong knowledge on different server operating system such as Windows Unix Linux etc. Experience provisioning, operating, and maintaining systems running on AWS.
- Capabilities to provide AWS operations and deployment guidance and best practices throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Experience with application / data migration to/from AWS and Experience with NGINX and the HTTP protocol.
- Deployment experience using common AWS technologies like VPC, and regionally distributed EC2 instances, Docker, and more.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Should have 3- 5 years hands on experience in implementing and administering AWS
- Must be able to work on multiple projects and consistently meet project deadlines.
