What does a successful Azure and DevOps Support Engineer do at Fiserv ?
The role involves Lead, design, develop and implement solutions in a complex environment consisting of various Azure resources and services on Cloud and On-Premises. It requires working in Distributed Computing Platform team providing infrastructure and application support to various business lines and works with staff to troubleshoot and problem-solve Infrastructure and related application issues.
The role will primarily involve building, deployment and support our financial services business, which will help financial institutions make faster payments and look for opportunities to introduce further automation.
As a technical expert, work closely with technical leads, project teams, Product owners, testing teams and Operation teams to build and implement end-to-end Infrastructure and application functionalities.
What will you do:
The ideal candidate will have at least 5-6 years of relevant experience.
Ability to understand and implement high available solutions on Azure across availability zones and regions Cloud and On-Premises.
Experience in Azure Security Groups, VPC, Routing Tables, Subnets on Cloud and On-Premises.
Manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security.
Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements.
Migrate/setup existing infrastructure services to cloud-based solutions and/or setup on On-Premises.
Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions.
Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging cloud native tooling to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments.
Support cloud adoption of applications as they are being transformed and/or modernized.
Cover on-call/Standby on rotation. Managing ticket queues for incidents/service requests & changes.
Support 24x7 coverage as per Business needs.
What will you need to know:
4+ years of Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization and with IaaS and PaaS solutions.
Experience in the design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, databases and application systems.
Experience working within an Agile framework, IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet and Ansible, and Scripting with Perl, Python and PowerShell.
Proficient with GIT to perform source code management.
Experience with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps.
