As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.


Job responsibilities


  • Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
  • Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
  • Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
  • Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
  • Accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
  • NoSQL Cassandra DB (Analyzes, designs, engineers, installs, configures and supports Database Management systems in support of business technology requirements; Includes an in depth knowledge of a core database technology and its internals plus knowledge of development practices and automated solutions with focus on customer self-service through API enablement, provisioning, resiliency and database performance)
  • Production support with SRE/DevOps Process
  • AWS Knowledge and Terraform exposure.
  • Develops, Tests, and debugs automated software deliverables for Applications, Systems, and or Infrastructures
  • Troubleshoots Major Incidents, contributes to blameless post-mortems.Engages within the SRE/Engineering team throughout the software development and participates in major code contributions

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
  • Proficient in at least one software language (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software delivery.
  • Demonstrates stronknowledge of one or more infrastructure components. (E.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerized systems, compute and storage systems)
  • Experience in using software development tools such as JIRA, Confluence, GIT/Bitbucket & Jenkins
  • Production support with SRE/DevOps process
  • AWS Knowledge and Terraform exposure.
