As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.
Job responsibilities
  • Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
  • Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
  • Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
  • Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
  • Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline. Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of applications.
  • Integrate automated testing and security scanning into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Write and maintain scripts for automation of cloud infrastructure and application deployment using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Implement configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private clouds
  • Drives to develop infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge
  • Experience in a DevOps or cloud engineering role. Proficiency in AWS services and cloud architecture.
  • Proven experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, ALB, NLB, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, or CircleCI. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, or Prometheus.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or similar certifications are a plus
