Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking for IT Manager – Software Development to join their IT & DA, Product Support team in Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC), Bangalore, Karnataka. This position will own the complete software development lifecycle; defining, prioritizing, designing, and leading implementation and testing of new Products as well as sustainment of existing legacy products.
An ideal candidate needs to be excited for the challenge to transform and think critically on many IT & Business disciplines including product design, usability, customer centric thinking, scaling applications, digital transformation and high reliability.
Candidate is expected to be a combination of a highly-technical software development leader and an effective people manager.
Candidate will manage and grow a talented team tasked with solving complex problems with the need to develop and drive strategy to hire, develop and mobilize talent for the organization.
Setting clear performance priorities for the team and enable the team to deliver is expected from the leader. One must be familiar to using operating mechanisms to continually assess progress and improve.
A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration in this position and should be proficient in interaction with senior technical and functional leaders to lead change through business processes and technologies.
This role will be based out of Bengaluru, India.
Position Responsibilities:
Manage people and delivery management of multiple development teams
Contribute to strategy development for the associated portfolio. This may include financial planning, work force planning & forecasting along with portfolio management teams
Ability to recruit, coach and lead each team member to reach their fullest potential
Set, drive and evaluate the performance priorities and development goals of the team members aligned with the Organizational goals
Lead and drive Safe/Agile mindset with in the team and lead/contribute towards the Agile maturity of the organization
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with various technical team leaders and members
Drive the culture of innovation within and across teams to bring value add to the organization
Ability to contribute to building initiatives that will shape the technology future of our business
Regular collaboration with Business and Stakeholders for delivery management
Ability to oversee and validate algorithms and deploy solutions to achieve business results in a timely manner with First-Time-Right Quality
Must have excellent problem solving skills (both technical & non-Technical)
Hands on experience to participate in all stages of the software development life cycle.
Excellent communication skills to work in a globally distributed team

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
12+ years of relevant experience preferred
Proven success in leading fast-paced development teams delivering software
Complete knowledge of the concepts and processes of managing a software system throughout the entire life cycle.
Experience of over 10 years in leading and managing teams developing software with some or a combination the following technical stack
Java, J2EE / .NET,C#
DevOps Tool Chain tools - Jenkins, Maven/ANT ,Bitbucket, Ansible, Jira/TFS/Clearcase
RDBMS/NoSQL and SOA/Micro services
Mobile development Hybrid/Native
Cloud technologies (PCF, Azure, AWS)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher; Engineering preferred
Experience in Aerospace domain
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 13 Plus years' related work experience or Master’s Degree with 12+ years of experience with an equivalent combination of education and experience
