Roche Informatics is implementing a Central Vendor Management Office (cVMO) an agile structure across Informatics and Global Procurement experts to support Roche Informatics globally. The cVMO will be responsible for the Technology as well as the External IT Workforce and IT Services areas that fall into the scope of the cVMO (> 1Bn CHFs budgets / >2k+ external partners).
The ’IT Vendor Governance Lead’ will be part of a CVMO Leadership team. This team leads a group of squads based on cross-functional experts in the following areas: Sourcing Management, Contract Management, External Workforce Management, Vendor Governance and Software Asset Management.
The Opportunity
Leading and managing a cross-functional team of experts around the Vendor Management lifecycle. Expectations:
You will be accountable for delivering results and achieving specific, measurable goals to stakeholders. As an expert leader in the area, you will identify the internal customer need and the larger business objectives that a product or feature will fulfill, articulating what success looks like for a product.
Your team will develop, implement and steer the strategic vendor governance model and initiatives to optimize vendor relationships. Leading the vendor segmentation, including vendor identification, communication and stakeholder management. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure vendor performance.
Leading a team responsible for the strategy, implementation, and monitoring of the ODCs (outsourcing delivery centers), making sure those are audits ready.
As a leader you will monitor and control the IT cost related expenses, budgets, total cost of ownership (TCO) and total contract value (TCV) in your area of responsibility.
Identifying opportunities for vendor consolidation, optimization, and rationalization to streamline vendor relationships, reduce complexity, and leverage economies of scale.
Identifying and mitigating risks associated with vendor relationships, contractual agreements and regulatory compliance issues together with other cVMO leaders and teams.
Fostering the continuous improvement in the cVMO organization to provide the highest level of value and efficiency to Informatics.
Who you are
Previous experience working in global organizations, including at least 5 years leading relationships with vendors and a team of vendor managers.
Expertise in building strategic partnerships with key technology & workforce vendors. Developing, implementing and optimizing IT outcome-driven services or/and in big scale would be highly valuable.
Previous experience in leading the product or service vision and strategy, shaping the strategy and roadmap, co-creating solutions to maximize the value delivered by the agile teams within your product(s) area.
Ability to lead and mobilize the durable, cross-functional squads
Demonstrates capacity to Influence key stakeholders in a highly complex, cross-functional environment and build collaborative relationships to ensure seamless program and outcome delivery
Exhibits a Lean-Agile Mindset, strong business acumen, ability to navigate ambiguity and manages complexity.
Ability to empower teams and individuals to act autonomously and hold them accountable.
Focusing on delivery through collaboration and bringing people together to work towards the same purpose across organizational boundaries.
Outstanding communication skills are essential with the ability to communicate credibly at all levels
