About the Role

Lead Industry Dialogue and Collaboration for the Region


In Swift's role as a global co-operative present in 200+ countries, there is a huge role and expectation for Swift to keep markets interoperable and business flows seamless. This requires a deep understanding of business, policy, technology impact and engagement with decision making and advisory bodies across regionals. In this role, you will work closely with the regional and country leads, strategic account managers and segment leads, GTM teams and product experts at Swift to ensure our role and community offerings are acceptable and relevant to the community. In this role, you have the opportunity to work towards framing the future needs of the region and Swift's value as a community owned entity and platform.


Accountability


  • Deliver a strategic engagement plan for the region identifying the key organizations and criteria for deeper engagement
  • Design suitable metrics to measure visible impact towards Swift's acceptance in the region defining a clear strategy for execution that can involve participation in events, perception in local publications, identifying stakeholders that perceive Swift's mission and approach positively.
  • Identify key streams of regional dialogue, design the Swift and community narrative and outreach and work with BD GTM teams to deliver them.
  • Engage with bank associations, trade bodies, think tanks and influential industry groups in the region to have maximum coverage and understanding of the industry matters that impact our community directly or indirectly via the ecosystem of partners and providers.

Engage Stakeholder and Influence


Ensure a continuous 2-way exchange with senior stakeholders at central banks and supranational organizations that aim for monetary and economic development that are headquartered or present in the region.


Accountability


  • Deliver account plans for central banks, market infrastructures and supranational entities in the region with the objective towards seek and offer greater understanding of each other's organizations and ensure quarterly engagement across different parts of the organization. This does not cover revenue plans.
  • Deliver the key stakeholder maps and Swift counterparts for topical engagement.
  • Proactively seek meetings, propose topics and agenda, set up bilateral or roundtables where the community can be represented via Swift to answer questions around the What, How and Why around strategic initiatives
  • Create a strong list of industry voices that champion Swift's mission and approach as valuable.

Advisory and Partnership


Act as advisory to the most senior leaders in the global financial industry across the public and private sectors, uncovering common challenges for strategic collaboration. Identify regional public-private sector partnerships that are aligned to Swift's purpose or closely adjacent to it and ensure timely engagement to co-create value that complements Swift's existing capability or unlocks scale leveraging the co-operative’s combined reach, capillarity and technology capabilities.


Accountability


  • Lead the regional public sector partnerships, private-public sector partnerships and new and future regional infrastructures being set up in the region.
  • Explore partnerships and role of Swift with the above.
  • Act as advisory towards senior leadership at Swift, senior leaders from the community and present internally the approach for Swift and opportunity for the community to leverage.

Advocacy and Representation


Ensure the global nature of Swift and decisions made by the Swift community are understood by regional stakeholders that design, implement and effect change. 


Accountability


  • Deliver regional insights leveraging Swift’s network data, articulate insights and inferences to the community where applicable and with approval.
  • Ensure representation of Swift's community and the collective voice of Swift’s National Member Groups in closed room regional forums where relevant for the subject or the decision.
  • Define and approve talking points and communication content that allows internal stakeholders to represent Swift.
