Summary of Role:
The position is responsible for owning and delivering HR processes on Labour Management, Facilities Management, Compliance Management, Liasoning and Industrial Relations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Effective Labour Management of Contract Labour, NEEM and other Trainees, Apprentices and company employees.
- Needs to ensure manpower availability to Operations at all times with required skill sets as per approved Budgets.
- Maintaining manpower mix as per Labor policy to ensure costs are within budget at all times.
- Work closely with Training team and support to ensure required skills are available at all times.
- Ensure compliances to all relevant acts related to Labor & Industry like Factories Act, Industrial dispute act, ESI & PF Act, Contract Labor Act, Minimum Wages Act, Bonus Act, Payment & Wages Act, etc.
- Effective Management of Canteen, Transportation, Security and Housekeeping through various agencies.
- Management of all plant events and ensure administrative support e.g. annual day, sports day and other employee engagement initiatives.
- Monitor administrative costs and expenses and accurately forecast and support budgeting processes.
- Liasoning with Government departments and external agencies like DISH Office, Labour Office, MIDC, Industry body, local government bodies,etc.
- Coordinating with the legal department & company advocates for all court matters related to Division.
- Maintain cordial and conducive work environment at shop floor.
- Support HR Head in understanding employees issues related plant personnel services and suggest measures for the improvement.
- Responsible for handling disciplinary action procedures as per law and company policies.
- Monitor and analyze internal & external environment for effective industrial relations.
- Develop and deploy a CSR program for the company, which supports the local community and brings in goodwill with the local community for the company.
- MIS and reporting on various programs and initiatives.
- Regularly revisit existing systems and policies for continuous improvements.
- Take up cost saving and optimization projects within Labour and Administration processes.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
- Graduate in any discipline + Post graduation in Management i.e. MBA – HR / MPM / Equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in law will be an added advantage.
- Hands on 12 -15 years’ experience on plant personnel / administrative services in any medium / large scale manufacturing organization, preferably from an auto OEM / auto component manufacturing industry.
- Expertise in dealing with Local Bodies / Government Authorities / Local Politicians etc.
- Knowledge of SAP system and purchase / service agreements related to administrative services.
