Country HR Leader – Bangalore, IndiaThis role will be responsible for leading and implementing HR strategies across India including the Allegion Technical Center in Bangalore. The successful candidate will partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, talent management, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and regulations.What You Will Do:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives in the Indian market
  • Lead organizational design initiatives and change management processes, considering Indian business culture
  • Provide strategic HR guidance and mentoring/coaching to the India leadership team
  • Lead and manage the local HR team, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Oversee recruitment, retention, and succession planning processes tailored to the Indian talent landscape
  • Develop and implement performance management systems aligned with Indian business practices
  • Design and execute leadership development programs focusing on local talent
  • Foster a positive work environment and company culture
  • Manage employee relations issues and implement resolution strategies in accordance with Indian labor practices
  • Develop and execute employee engagement initiatives
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefits programs in line with Indian market standards
  • Ensure competitiveness of total rewards packages in the Indian job market
  • Oversee annual salary review and bonus processes, considering local economic factors
  • Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, and other relevant regulations
  • Manage HR-related risks specific to India and implement mitigation strategies
  • Oversee HR audits and implement necessary improvements in line with Indian regulatory requirements
  • Implement diversity and inclusion programs tailored to the Indian context.
  • Drive continuous improvement in HR processes and systems, leveraging local best practices
  • Act as a strategic partner to business leaders in India, providing HR support and guidance
  • Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure alignment with corporate initiatives while maintaining local relevance.
  • Represent HR in cross-functional projects and initiatives within the Indian organization
What You Need to Succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 18+ years of progressive HR experience in India, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role.
  • Prior experience with a GCC in Electro-Mechanical, Software and Technology Operations in Strategic  HR roles is preferable.
  • Prior experience in supporting commercial business operation is highly preferable.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, including the new labor codes, and HR practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies in the Indian context
  • Experience in managing HR in a multinational corporate environment within India
  • Fluency in English and at least one major Indian language (Hindi, preferred)
  • SHRM-SCP, HRCI, or equivalent professional certification is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and understanding of the Indian market
  • Results-oriented with the ability to drive change and innovation in a diverse cultural setting
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, considering local business dynamics
  • Strong ethics and integrity, with a deep understanding of Indian business ethics
  • Adaptable and resilient in India's fast-paced, changing business environment
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and navigate complex stakeholder relationships
