Job Purpose:


We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance DA Manager in our CLS Finance You will be responsible for Responsible for leading the Crew Logistics Services Disbursement & Credit Control team to ensure the execution of the business plan in the most efficient manner. Act as a first point of contact for all contract administration and performance matters within the scope of DA & related operational financial processes. Visit the Principals periodically and manage/maintain the relationship including representation in alliance meetings. Develop and implement an engagement model at all levels between teams between Principal and Operational Finance Hubs


Host and facilitation of the Principal Audit and other requirements.


What you’ll do:


LPA Management


  • Periodically review LPA performance and associated exposure and take necessary action including escalations
  • Review the pre-funding adequacy & trends with Hub Operations & Principals
  • Ensure setting up effective engagement & communication model between Operational Finance Hubs, Hub Operations, and LPA
  • Feedback on DA Quality and turnaround for continuous improvement in upstream input

DA Production


  • Plan daily production and ensure we deliver consistently to meet and beat the agreed SLA
  • Ensure that we deliver to the KPIs agreed with the principal and internally
  • Ensure the FDA’s produced are compliant with ISS Ethics & Compliance policies
  • Time Bar DA management and no exposure for Group
  • Cost savings to management and reporting to principal
  • ODA & Receivables management
  • Manage the approval process on ODA by principals
  • Monitor the ODA balances of PASP Principals and Non-PASP Principals
  • Ensure the ODA queries are attended with the appropriate clarifications and the TAT is as per the Principal Agreed KPI’s

Team Management & Development


  • Deployment of the resources and work allocation, as per the production volumes
  • Promote staff development and skill upgradation
  • Ensure that team members receive appropriate training to perform their job effectively.
  • Leave plans management and contingency plans to ensure continuous production
  • Succession planning through internal/external resources
  • Quarterly and annual employee Appraisal process, as guided by HR

New business integration


  • Participate in the pre-sales discussion, proposal building, and product offering in line with the principal’s requirements
  • Implement agreed process and measures to deliver agreed outcome including reporting as per SLA
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes and devise plans by involving stakeholders to implement changes accordingly.
  • Prepare Work Flow and control Charts for the overall process and finalize the SOP for the DA Process & related tasks
  • Facilitate setting up of required database and customization within applications for processing of DA’s

Who you are:


  • Working experience [Shipping agency / Hub / Ship Management Company] is required.
  • Experience at Business Unit level with excellent people management skills
  • Good hands-on experience in managing customer interaction in a senior management position
  • Sound understanding of financial aspects of business, including cash and exposure management
  • Ability to initiate and facilitate collaboration across organizational borders, customers, and vendors
  • Excellent understanding of the company’s applications and ability to extract meaningful full reports, etc.
  • Ability to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Flair for developing and managing team
  • Flair for developing and implementing performance-enhancing processes
  • Passion for service excellence
