Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maximize Brand visibility and awareness.

Task:


Strategic:


  • Strategize, develop, and implement training as a business model, offering both local and global products, including training kits, modules, and media, targeting industries, universities, and learning management organizations to drive revenue and market share growth
  • Develop a holistic plan to position the organization as a learning organization, collaborating with the HR department and cross-functional teams to enhance the technical knowledge and skills of all associates
  • Design and execute a localized Go-To-Marketing (GTM) Strategy for promoting and expanding the training business, ensuring alignment with local market needs and competitive positioning
  • Ideate, develop, and promote customized training products, including locally tailored training kits, modules, and media (Local-for Local products), ensuring these offerings meet specific market demands and client needs
  • Steer the financial planning for all training operations, ensuring cost effectiveness while maximizing the return on investment for training programs and initiatives
  • Propose and manage the financial budget for the training department, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and aligned with both short term and long-term strategic priorities
  • Plan and monitor the financial aspects of contracts with external trainers and consultants, collaborating with management to make informed decisions on budget allocation for training initiatives
  • Plan and align the promotion and sales of training initiatives with management and business units, ensuring effective market penetration for optimal business impact and revenue generation
  • Identify and develop a network of channel partners to act as promoters for the training business (e.g., CE partner for training) expanding training facilities and capabilities at specified locations in collaboration with these partners
  • Manage contacts and agreements such as MOUs with various industries and institutes, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives and mutual benefits for all the parties involved
  • Constantly update and innovate the training catalog, incorporating feedback and market trends to ensure the content remains relevant, competitive, and align with customer and industry requirements

Operational:


  • Sales KPIs –Plan, deploy, steer and achieve Sales ensuring sustainable growth.
  • Organization of training programs, as per concepts, training calendar & as per customer requests.
  • Manage team –recruit, mentor, develop, & motivate team to make L&D a successful business model.
  • Ensure Compliance and legal topics related to L&D.
  • Audit, asset management, facility management
  • Support marketing to promote L&D
  • Management Reporting and Analytics.
  • Relationship management with BU and customers.

2. No. of trainees, institute and industry coverage, training program coverage, etc. with reach.

Qualifications

Post-graduate in Mechanical / Electronics / Electrical Engineering from reputed institute. Ph.D. (Optional).


10 years+ relevant experience in L&D business


Competences


  • Understanding on Training & Didactics as business model.
  • Training department experience on process, system, methods, equipment, trends etc.
  • Sales & Marketing experience, preferably on Training and Didactics products.
  • Compliance and Legal knowledge related to L&D

Soft Skills:


  • Entrepreneurial mindset to gather market needs, business opportunities and customer requirements for didactics.
  • Analytical and conceptual capabilities
  • Presentation skills | Communication skills | Conflict Management
  • Experience in sales, ideally in training marketing.
