The Axial Programme will be powered by S/4HANA a new ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system which will be implemented right across the organisation and will provide our business with standardised processes, enhanced financial management, common data and real time reporting, transforming the way we work through our entire supply chain - from bench to patient.


The new system will be used by more than 20,000 employees daily, is foundational to all AZ entities and is central to most core business processes.  This is a once in a generation programme for AstraZeneca and will shape our ways of working globally for many years to come.

Step into a pivotal role as Support Lead, driving the success of AstraZeneca’s SAP analytics rollout across finance and operations. Engage with users, senior leaders, and markets to shape analytics strategies, ensure effective training, and deliver innovative solutions. Collaborate with agile teams to maximize the value of our enterprise analytics estate, leveraging your expertise in service management and passion for empowering users to transform data into impactful insights.


We are looking for an experienced support lead that has good experience with analytical tools, and engaging analytics users.


We are building out a team to face across both finance and operations process areas as we roll-out to new markets. This role will play a central role in pre-engagement, understanding the market use cases and users, coordinating with senior leaders and ensuring that the right people are spoken to, trained and involved in defining our analytics strategy per site.


This role will be heavily involved with the business analyst, engineering teams, and product owners, understanding the estate that is being built out and how best to leverage that.


This role calls for the ability to understand data and analytics at an enterprise level, to come up with novel solutions and to provide that learning to other team members and analytics users.


This team will be a true agile delivery team. The team will work in a transparent and agile way, meaning there will be a published roadmap of analytics products and a constant flow of new work from across the Axial program and AZ.


Essential experience and skills:


  • Knowledge of service management (processes, metrics, standards etc).


  • Great comms skills.


Desirable experience and skills:


  • Service management qualifications,


  • Enterprise scale systems running 24x7 globally,


  • Globally distributed teams and customers,


  • Regulatory frameworks (EU AI Act, GxP, SOX, GDPR)


  • Strong influencing skills,


  • Pharmaceutical industry experience


  • Experience of manufacturing, supply chain, distribution,


  • Experience of finance processes (R2R, P2P, O2C etc),


  • SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud,


  • Team leadership and team building.
