Hybrid Cloud Migration Engineer for Azure
Overview
The Hybrid Cloud Migration Engineer for Azure will be responsible for providing technical coordination in
implementing, managing and executing cloud migration solutions on Azure platform. This role will require a
deep understanding of the Azure cloud IaaS environment and its migration capabilities, as well as experience
with migration technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on?premises (physical and Virtualized) , connectivity and cloud infrastructure and will be able to work
collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to execute high-quality hybrid cloud migrations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Executing hybrid migrations using the Azure platform, working with Architects, project teams and
clients to implement the migration requirements and execute defined migration strategies
• Provide technical expertise in all aspects of migration, including migration readiness, cutover
planning and post migration support.
• Develop and maintain migration playbooks, scripts, and templates to streamline the migration process
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application development, network engineering,
security, and operations teams to ensure successful migration outcomes
• Develop Standard Operational procedures, document the learnings from the executions and participate
in knowledge sharing activities
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Azure migration and related technologies,
and provide recommendations for process improvement and optimization
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in managing, implementing and executing hybrid migrations
using the Azure IaaS
• Strong knowledge of Azure migration tools and technologies, including Azure Site Recovery,
Azure Migrate, and Azure Database Migration Service
• Experience with 5R’s migration methodologies
• Proficient in PowerShell, ARM templates, and other scripting languages used for automation
and deployment on Azure
• Familiarity with on-premises infrastructure technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, and
storage systems including the server technologies like Windows, Linux, Unix and SQL Servers
• Exposure towards Azure services like AVS, Azure ARC, Azure Stack HCI (Azure Local) is a good to
have.
• Excellent problem-solving, incident management, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical
concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
