You will safeguard these pillars and its strategic planning and development and ensure all directives, practices and initiatives are implemented, embraced, adopted within the resort.Duties and Responsibilities:The Human Resource Manager will report directly to the Director of Human Resources. As a member of the property Human Resources support staff, he/she directs and works with Human Resources team to carry out the daily activities of the Human Resource Office including oversight of recruitment, total compensation, and training and development. Additionally, he/she focuses on delivering HR services that meet or exceed the needs of hosts and enable business success; as well as ensures compliance with organization/National and State local regulations.Recruitment and Talent Acquisition Establishing and maintaining contact with external recruitment sources, in partnership. Attending job fairs and ensuring documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures. Networking with local organizations (e.g., Hotel/Hospitality Associations, colleges, universities, and peers) to source candidates for current or future openings. Overseeing/monitoring candidate identification and selection process. Ensuring effective advertisement efforts are being utilized for open positions in appropriate venues to attract a diverse candidate pool. Overseeing the selection/non-selection and offer processes to ensure proper procedures are followed. Overseeing/conducting first-level interviews for all levels Managers and above to be presented to the hiring manager.Onboarding and Orientation Managing Host Orientation: Overseeing the host orientation process, ensuring new hosts' understanding of the job and reinforcing training on the job. Ensuring coordination and facilitation of new hire orientation programs to generate a positive first impression for hosts and emphasizing the importance of guest service. Ensuring attendance by all new hires and participation of the leadership team. Collaborating with Leadership Team and the Training Manager to ensure departmental orientation processes are in place, and hosts receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.Employee Relations and Communication Assisting the Director of HR in resolving conflicts and negotiating: Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts. Emphasizing and utilizing an “open door” policy to acknowledge host problems or concerns in a timely manner, ensuring host issues are referred to the Department Manager for resolution or escalated to the Director of Human Resources timely. Assisting the Director of Human Resources in maintaining effective host communication channels in the property (e.g., developing daily communications and assisting with regularly scheduled hotel-wide meetings). Communicating Host Guidebook, the progressive discipline policy, and other relevant HR Procedures and guidelines during orientation and via the host handbook. Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Assisting Finance in HR Payroll Audit: Conducted by externals through Finance. Assisting the Director of Human Resources in Compensation and Benefits Survey. Managing documentation, employment compliance, and visa assistance for expatriates. Assisting in GMC, GPA, GTL, and WC renewals in coordination with Procurement, Finance, and the insurance broker. Preparing reports on a monthly basis: EFTE, Executive Summary, MIS, Forecast, payroll reports, manning reports, recruitment, and other relevant reports. Submitting all annual returns, including but not limited to Contract Labor, Maternity, Minimum Wages, POSH, and Payment of Wages compliance.Training and Development Ensuring hosts are cross-trained to support successful daily operations. Communicating performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position for the HR Team to present to the Director of Human Resources. Coaching and Developing Others: Identifying the developmental needs of the HR Team and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. Developing and Building Teams: Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among HR Hosts and the overall team at the Retreat.Compliance and Record Management Ensuring compliance with procedures for accessing, reviewing, and auditing host files as per the Six Senses HR and Training compliance requirements and local law. Ensuring host files contain required documents as per the required HR filing checklist. Liaising with Statutory Vendors: PF/ESIC/Labor compliance. Managing Workers Compensation claims to ensure appropriate host care and manage costs. Representing Human Resources at the Retreat Health and Safety Committee; helping to identify ways to create awareness of health and safety and decrease accident frequency and severity.Engagement and Rewards Monitoring Colleague Heart Beat (Host Engagement Survey) & Engagement Plans/Action Plans. Organizing and monitoring programs to acknowledge host contributions. Planning and engagement activities in line with Mindful Wellness (MW). Managing special days and events to enhance host engagement.General HR Operations Ensuring Record Confidentiality: Respecting and complying with record confidentiality requirements. Managing day-to-day tasks according to guidelines and SOPs: Monitoring processes and evaluating information according to SOP. Preparing Offer Letters, Increment Letters, Warning Letters, Show Cause Notices, and Termination Letters. Managing agreements and coordinating logistics for taskforce activities. Assisting in interviewing and hiring HR host team members with the appropriate skills, as needed. Assisting the Director of Human Resources in resolving conflicts and grievances and ensuring a harmonious work environment.QualificationsTo execute the position of Human Resources Manager, You must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following: Bachelor’s degree in HR/ Hospitality Management. Master's in human resources preferred. More than five years’ experience in a similar human resources role, preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Computer programs; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., and Human Resources/payroll systems. ADP/Timesaver experience preferred. Professional HR designation (PHR, SPHR or other) preferred.
