The project:


This is a 1.5 million sq. ft. of R and D centre and factory project in electronic city, Bengaluru, comprising of 2 basements and five towers of different height each. It is an SEZ and industrial construction project.

Reporting to EHS Manager, responsible for maintaining safety standards for the entire construction site till handing over of the project. Part of the management team in a client-facing, project management consultancy role.


You’ll be responsible for:


  • Guiding and directing the development and implementation of H and S policies, strategies, programs, and standards.


  • Keeping staff fully informed of the H and S program and applicable legislative and assurance requirements.


  • Ensuring adequate procedures are implemented to evaluate the adequacy of H and S compliance and performance across the program.


  • Directly managing the contractor and consultants in all aspects of HSE.


  • Identifying and controlling significant loss producing exposures, providing summary strategic reports and recommendations to the leadership team.


  • Playing a visible role in H and S leadership and direction to the project.


  • Providing guidance and recommendation to all business units.


  • Interacting with the client and key stakeholders.


  • Keeping fully informed of all existing and proposed changes in applicable regulations and legislation.


  • Inspection and monitoring site logistics, traffic movement and maintaining all necessary documentation.


  • Conducting training for staff and stakeholders according to the training matrix.


  • Daily site inspection and audit to identify the high potential hazards, and risks and suggest CAPA, generate reports to contractors for compliance.


  • Daily reporting of the key issues to the line manager/concerned department in charge.


  • Reviewing contractor documents like the HSE plan, risk assessments and all other EHS correspondences.


You’ll need to have:


Graduation or diploma in safety.


Experience in IT parks and commercial buildings, IOSH, NEEBOSH and other certifications would be an added advantage.
