The HR Platform – Operations Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and management of the Takeda HR Platforms and infrastructure. This role involves overseeing the IT operations, ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of the IT environment, and leading a team of IT professionals. This person will work closely with senior management to align IT initiatives with organizational goals.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Team Leadership and Management:Lead and manage the HR Systems department including System architects, Software Engineers, IT consultants, and Project managers and Third-Party Teams.Hire Employees and contract staff required for the department, approve leave request/timesheets/termination of the department staff.Coordinate resources, tasks, and projects to ensure timely and successful completion.


  • IT Strategy and Planning:Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with business objectives.Identify IT requirements and priorities, ensuring effective allocation of resources and budgeting.Research and evaluate emerging technologies and trends, providing recommendations for innovation and improvement.Develop and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and security


  • IT Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day IT operations, including application support, network infrastructure, systems administration. Implement ITIL-based processes for incident management, problem management, change management, and service request management. Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.


  • Project Management: Oversee delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and resource requirements. Coordinate project activities, manage risks, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.


  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring adherence to SLAs and contract terms. Manage vendor deliverables, Staffing Needs and negotiate contracts, Approve Statement of Work and Vendor Invoices. Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues, implement upgrades, and improve service quality.


  • IT Security and Risk Management: Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies. Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.


Qualifications/Skills Required:


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.


  • Master’s Degree (Preferred) in: Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Information Systems, Master of Science (MS) in Information Technology Management, or related disciplines.


  • 10-12+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology roles.


  • 6-8 Years of experience in Managing HR Systems preferably Workday.


  • 3-5+ years in managerial or supervisory positions, leading IT teams and projects.


  • 8+ years’ experience in Business and Systems Integration, and implementing applications


  • Experience related to Software as a Service (SaaS)


  • Experience with ServiceNow Ticketing tool as well and JIRA.
