Human Resource Manager (Mumbai based only)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated HR Manager to join our dynamic team. As an independent contributor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the complete spectrum of human resources functions within the organization. This includes key areas such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leave management, employee engagement, and all other HR-related tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and maintaining a positive and compliant work environment for our employees.
We are looking for a skilled HR Professional who will support and develop talent through developing policies and managing procedures. The goal will be to provide excellent assistance and support to employees and managers.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, from job postings and sourcing candidates to conducting interviews and extending offers.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to meet staffing needs and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand role requirements and ensure hiring strategies align with company needs.
- Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment cycle.
Onboarding:
- Manage the entire onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientation sessions, preparing documentation, and ensuring a smooth integration into the company culture.
- Ensure all compliance and legal requirements are met for new employees.
- Develop and maintain onboarding materials and programs to enhance employee retention and satisfaction.
Performance Management:
- Administer the performance management process, including goal-setting, regular check-ins, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
- Assist in developing and tracking individual development plans for employees to align with business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on performance-related matters, including addressing performance issues and implementing improvement plans.
Leave Management:
- Oversee and manage employee leave requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Track and maintain accurate records of employee leave balances and usage (sick leave, vacation, maternity, etc.).
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave policies and procedures.
Employee Engagement:
- Foster a positive work environment by supporting and implementing employee engagement initiatives.
- Conduct regular employee satisfaction surveys, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and facilitate programs that enhance employee morale, retention, and organizational culture.
- Mediate and resolve employee concerns, grievances, and conflicts to maintain a harmonious workplace.
HR Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, company policies, and best practices in HR management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including contracts, personal information, and performance documentation.
General HR Support:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee HR inquiries and support across all areas.
- Provide guidance and advice to management and employees on HR policies, procedures, and practices.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to HR processes to drive efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
- Provide counselling on policies and procedures
- Be actively involved in recruitment as well but we have a separate recruitment team as well.
- Create and implement effective onboarding plans
- Develop training and development programs
- Assist in performance management processes
- Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
- Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
- Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance.
Skills
Requirements and skills
- Minimum 5-10 Years of HR Management experience
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of India Labor laws and disciplinary procedures
- Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of HRMS
- Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude
- Strong ethics and reliability
- BSc/BA in business administration, social studies or relevant field; further training will be a plus
- HR Credentials (e.g. PHR from the HR Certification Institute)
