About the role The Head of HR for India will lead the HR Team and heavily partner with the Indian Subcontinent leadership team in the effectiveness and deliverables of our operation. Working strategically, this role will set the course of best-in-class HR practices and create an environment where our employees can shine. IS is at the heart of our growth plans for the region and this role will play a key role in enabling us to delight customers, stakeholders, communities and employees through our strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities
- An active member of the senior leadership team, partnering with the team to engage, challenge, coach and develop our people towards high performance.
- Design and deploy HR strategy and roadmap that aligns and supports the delivery of the overall business strategy, incorporating industry best practice including: workforce planning; leadership and functional capability; employee engagement; change management and end to end talent practices.
- Lead our Diversity, inclusion and belonging agenda to establish Kerry as an employer of choice, including programmes to progress our Talent pipeline
- Connect with local HR forums, business groups and government institutions to ensure we are leveraging available supports and using best practice approaches.
- Partner with functional leaders, providing coaching and support to enhance personal leadership style, people management capabilities and change management skills/planning.
- Oversight and anticipation of employee relations issues; supporting head of departments and local teams to drive strategies to be ahead of ER/ IR issues, and to apply compliant/consistent approach to resolution at local level.
- Leads and develops a culture of high performance utilising appropriate performance management, reward and recognition programmes
- Work closely with HR Shared Services (the Centre of Excellence and Business Services teams) to bring new thinking to client groups around talent management, learning, career progression and total rewards.
- Effectively articulates the business case for organisational change and pro-actively drives and delivers business change.
- Creates a compelling case for employee engagement. Partners with senior leadership team on employee engagement strategy for South Africa and agree appropriate local strategies to support the engagement agenda.
- Manage the HR team, for performance and delivery of assigned objectives, career development and engagement.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree educated, business or MBA.
- Relevant HR qualification/accreditation, with track record of continuous professional development
- 10 + Years of sound generalist HR experience with ability to translate talent and performance strategy into executable HR initiatives that drive a high-performance culture
- Is a credible HR leader, has a reputation for delivering excellence in HR at a country level
- Strong project management skills
- Proven global and matrix management experience – FMCG industry ideal
- Must demonstrate experience of Collective Labour Agreements in multi-national Manufacturing or Operations environments
- Good understanding of India Payroll and Tax norms.
