Purpose of the job


What is the primary purpose of this job? Describe main objectives.


Drive end to end HR processes for the R2R, FP&A, IT & SE team based in India, to scale up people and organizational capability to the next level, as per HR guidelines.


Supports building and implementation of the HR strategy and targets to life by developing, implementing, and maintaining the HR / Attract to Grow processes and HR services in line with the global Center of Expertise (CoE) processes and the Global Business Services (GBS) Service Catalogue


HR Business Partnering


Provides HR partnership & expertise to the GBS, IM and Finance Team which includes 300+ FTEs in achieving their agenda for the Global, regional countries, including but not limited to workforce planning, organizational design, capability building and performance management.

2. Key responsibilities



Describe the responsibilities and accountabilities of the job. Which tasks is the job holder responsible for? What results are to be achieved?


  • Builds close, efficient and effective working relationships with Towers (includes country, regional and Global stakeholders), Functions, Strategic HR Business Partners, Centre of Expertise (CoEs) and People Services locally and in the region to support GBS, IM and Finance
  • Grows the individuals and the teams by providing clear feedback, trust, focusing on strengths and a climate where learning from mistakes and continuous improvement is the norm.
  • Deploys and implements the respective GBS HR Strategy and prioritize HR projects, in line with the BU and regional HR strategy
  • Provides input to Country HR Strategy from a GBS, IM and Finance perspective.
  • Supports and delivers the standardization and harmonization of HR processes and conditions for teams, including change management, standardization and harmonization of HR practices
  • Ensures optimal alignment and collaboration with the Business/Functions and presents HR updates in Business Reviews.
  • Drives compliance of process and behaviors following internal (eg AkzoNobel Code of Conduct) and external requirements, regulations and best practices
  • Ensures appropriate positioning of our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) in the country, as well as advocate for Diversity & Inclusion
  • Ensure alignment of given HR processes with business by engaging proactively with business leaders and their respective team members.
  • Responsible for manpower budgeting & tracking, and productivity tracking for the organization as per guidelines.
  • Provides HR solutions to ensure business delivery, like capability building, retention measures, engagement initiatives.
  • Responsible for Managing Employee Life Cycle Events proactively events like recruitment, joining, induction, promotion, increments, exit etc
  • Talent Management in GBS- identify high performers and potential employees and create developmental plans & career paths for them.
  • To drive human resources practices and policies to ensure standardization and consistency in documentation & implementation of human resource practices and policies across GBS.
  • Drive performance-management process as per process guidelines & timelines with the GBS team.
  • Create and sustain awareness of integrity and discipline. Execute disciplinary actions as required in GBS organization.

HR Business Partnering


  • Provides HR partnership & expertise to the GBS Towers in achieving their business agenda
  • Acts as coach and counsel to Teams create the right culture and organizational model.
  • Supports with Workforce Planning to build a strong and sustainable human capital Leadership to support the strategy and further growth of the country organization.
  • Facilitates workshops to drive a culture of healthy, sustainable, high performance.
  • Drives BU/Function specific initiatives to support functional and process and transformation, working closely with the strategic HRBPs

4. Job requirements

Qualifications:


  • Postgraduate with deep functional knowledge and HR expertise, with 5 – 7 years’ experience
  • Proven track record in delivering results in a matrix organization
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to drive and implement change in the organization
  • Leading and developing teams and individuals
  • Good at stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Empathic with clear communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Collaborative, engaging style, team player who loves to create energy and fun
  • Hands-on can-do attitude, who can keep course while dealing with ambiguity and the various priorities and stakes in country and function
