Job Description
Job Summary:
The Hindi PRT will teach Hindi language and literature to primary-grade students. The teacher will work towards developing students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Hindi, fostering an appreciation for the language, and preparing students for higher-grade level learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning & Delivery:
- Develop and deliver engaging Hindi lessons based on the school curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and activities to make learning interactive and fun.
- Teach reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills in Hindi.
- Use appropriate teaching methods and resources to cater to the varying learning needs of students.
Classroom Management:
- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment.
- Encourage active student participation and creativity.
- Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and address any behavioral or academic issues.
Assessments & Reporting:
- Conduct regular assessments (quizzes, tests, assignments, projects) to evaluate student performance.
- Maintain records of student progress and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to school management.
Cultural Activities:
- Promote cultural awareness through Hindi-related activities like poetry recitals, storytelling, debates, and drama.
- Encourage students to take part in Hindi language competitions and events.
Parent-Teacher Interaction:
- Communicate with parents regarding student progress, behavioral issues, or concerns.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings and contribute to discussions about the child’s development.
Continuous Professional Development:
- Stay updated with the latest teaching methods and developments in the Hindi language field.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and school meetings as required.
RequirementsEducational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Hindi or equivalent (B.A. in Hindi, B.Ed.).
- A diploma or degree in education (B.Ed.) is typically required.
Experience:
- Prior experience teaching Hindi to primary school students is preferred but not always necessary.
- Ability to teach and communicate with young learners effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching.
- Good classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy for preparing teaching materials and using online learning platforms.
