Job Description
Black & Grey HR is partnering with a market leader in the precast construction industry to identify a dynamic Head – Precast who will be responsible for driving operational excellence, quality assurance, and strategic leadership across the precast production lifecycle.
This senior leadership role requires an industry veteran with extensive experience in precast manufacturing, casting yard management, erection techniques, and logistics planning. The ideal candidate will lead high-performing teams, optimize production workflows, and ensure seamless coordination across departments, ensuring on-time project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Oversee and direct all precast production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry best practices. - Casting Yard Management: Lead end-to-end operations, including logistics planning, workforce optimization, and resource allocation for seamless production flow.
- Precast Manufacturing & Assembly: Supervise the production of wall panels, beams, columns, slabs, manhole chambers, and other precast elements, ensuring precision and structural integrity.
- Steel Mould & Crane Operations: Manage steel mould installation, assembly, storage, and transportation while optimizing Gantry / EOT crane operations for efficient handling and placement.
- Erection & Structural Connections: Oversee precast erection, grouting, and connection methodologies (Column to Column, Column to Beam, Slab connections, etc.) to ensure structural stability.
- HSE & Risk Management: Drive a safety-first culture by enforcing HSE compliance, risk mitigation strategies, and industry best practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Central Planning, Design, Methods, and QA/QC teams to ensure alignment with project specifications and timelines.
- Process Optimization & Quality Control: Implement curing systems, casting cycles, and advanced production techniques to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall output.
- Continuous Improvement & Audit Compliance: Conduct inspections, audits, and process improvements to uphold quality benchmarks and drive operational excellence.
Requirements- Experience: 20+ years of proven expertise in precast production, steel mould handling, and erection methodologies within large-scale precast construction environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of precast logistics, casting yard operations, structural connections, and industry regulations.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, engage with engineering, design, and quality control divisions, and collaborate with key stakeholders.
- Safety & Compliance: Extensive experience in HSE best practices, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance within precast operations.
- Operational Excellence: Track record of implementing lean manufacturing principles, process automation, and productivity enhancement initiatives.
