The Head of Technology Center based in Mumbai is a high impact role responsible for leading our Mumbai and Bengaluru based Digital teams in alignment with Enterprise stakeholders.


This is a highly collaborative role that provides business value to all functions and segments and ensures that the necessary Digital support is available onsite. The role encompasses the liaison of site requirements with global digital initiative and organization. A key goal is to connect the local digital resources to show team effort and one face to the internal customer. This role will include a range of responsibilities such as setting digital location strategies, driving local innovation, delivery velocity and communicating results across a range of stakeholders. This position reports to our Chief Technology Officer.


WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive people and organizational strategy aligned with the global company's goals and the strategic direction provided by Digital sub functions. Participate in strategic stakeholder communications.


  • People & Organizational Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Provide mentorship and development opportunities to technical team members. Define succession and career path opportunities and address any people topics of the India team, including goal setting, performance reviews, or conflicts.


  • Talent & Resource planning: Manage, lead, and grow Digital talent ensuring that the team is right sized by platform (CRM, Web, ERP, DW, etc.) with the up-to-date skills & knowledge to operate platforms.  Partner with PMO to track and manage resource capacity and utilization within the team using JIRA. Provide input to annual people budget.


  • Operations & Execution: Lead day-to-day operations and execution of initiatives for all Digital resources in Mumbai and Bengaluru using scaled agile practices. Manage capacity and resource allocation based on priorities provided through our intake process or by functional leaders; identify resource bottlenecks and ensures back ups. Manages local consulting vendors.


  • Velocity & Quality of Delivery: Hold teams to high standards in software engineering, speed of delivery, architecture and secure design, and code quality using modern DevOps tools and methodologies. Ensure end-to-end testing and change management is fully integrated into system implementation and cutover/migration planning.


  • Innovation: Foster a culture of continuous growth and improvement through collaboration, coaching, mentoring, feedback and clear measurable outcomes. Assess market trends and competitive insights and feed a “forward thinking” technology roadmap that solves business problems to transform nVent operations.


YOU HAVE:



  • Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Information Systems or Computer Science. MBA highly preferred.


  • At least ten years of leadership responsibility managing and developing organizations and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders.


  • Successfully led multiple, large, complex, full-lifecycle system implementations (examples could be one of the following - eCommerce, CRM, ERP etc.).


  • Preferred experience in manufacturing Industry/Domain.


  • Strong understanding of technical architectures including solution, integration and data architecture including multi-cloud deployment models.


  • Experience managing external consultants and system integration.


  • 5+ years of experience working in scaled Agile environments.


  • Passion for leading, organizing, and motivating teams.


  • Ability to communicate with clarity and simplicity on technical and non-technical matters spanning from strategy through to execution.  


  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities for self and team.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to lead & influence cross functional and multinational teams & navigate within a matrix organization.


  • Prior experience with Agile delivery and Atlassian/Jira toolset.


  • Ability to travel 3x a year internationally.
