Job Description

Title: Retail Head


Key Responsibilities:


1. Retail Entry Structure and Expansion Plan


~ Develop and execute a detailed retail entry plan, including location analysis, target market identification, and feasibility studies.


~ Establish a roadmap for retail expansion, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.


~ Build relationships with real estate partners, landlords, and vendors to secure prime store locations.


2. Retail Operations Management


~ Manage daily retail store operations, ensuring compliance with brand standards, operational excellence, and cost control.


~ Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize store management across locations.


3. Sales and Profitability


~ Define sales targets, develop strategies to achieve them, and ensure alignment with broader business goals.


~ Monitor retail KPIs such as sales per square foot, conversion rates, and inventory turnover.


4. People Management


~ Recruit, train, and mentor store managers and retail teams, fostering a customer-focused culture.


5. Customer Experience and Loyalty


~ Design and implement initiatives to enhance the in-store customer experience, ensuring alignment with fast-fashion brand values.


6. Inventory and Supply Chain Coordination


~ Work closely with the supply chain team to ensure optimum inventory levels across stores.


~ Analyse sales trends to make informed decisions about stock replenishment, new collections.


7. Reporting and Compliance


~ Track and report on store performance, sales growth, and customer insights to the leadership team.


~ Ensure compliance with all retail and labor laws, as well as internal company policies.


Qualifications


Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience


  • 7+ years of retail management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role for a fast-fashion or accessories brand.
  • Proven expertise in launching new stores and creating retail expansion strategies.

Skills


  • Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities.
  • Analytical mindset with expertise in retail metrics, sales forecasting, and market analysis.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in retail software and ERP systems.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


  • Number of new store openings and successful execution of the retail entry plan.
  • Sales growth and store profitability across regions.
  • Customer satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
  • Inventory efficiency (sell-through rate, stock turnover).
