Head of People Advice & Resource Centre (PARC) - India

The Head of India PARC will lead the People Advice and Resource Centre (PARC) for the KBR businesses headquartered India. The role is a key strategic, providing shared services leadership in the India and globally to meet the needs of the business and our customers. The role will lead the implementation and embedding of an effective “best in class” service, underpinned by delivering professional advice and an exceptional customer experience.

The Head of the India PARC will:


  • Develop the structure of the PARC for the KBR businesses headquartered in India, designing and implementing the People service offering that shapes the Shared Services transformation roadmap.
  • Centralize key operational People services, including onboarding, offboarding, employee administration, payroll support, compensation and benefits facilitation, reporting, security administration and employee relations.
  • Create in-region Workday specialist knowledge and People reporting with data insights.
  • Develop employee self-service (ESS) and manager self-service (MSS) capability that supports transactional activities through Workday enhancements and online resources (e.g. intranet resources), upskilling line managers and instilling a culture of best in class practices for our people.
  • Lead the PARC Team of Teams to provide excellent customer service and professional advice on more complex HR queries (e.g.) People & Payroll Operations, Employee Relations and Compensation and Benefits.
  • Build strong, credible working relationships with senior People Partners, Centre’s of Excellence and business leaders as key stakeholders of the PARC to ensure the People service offering meets the needs of the business.
  • Develop key metrics and dashboards to report on the key PARC activities to People Leadership Team and the business key stakeholders on a monthly and cumulative basis, identifying trends and making recommendations for change and improvement.
  • Continually review People processes, procedures, and resources to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, with focus on technology developments and opportunities for future automation.
  • Proactively engage with the HR teams across the KBR legal entities, including Talent Acquisition, L&D, People Operations, HRIS team, global compensation and benefits team.
  • Create a blueprint of ‘what good looks like’ to support future M&A activity and manage the successful integration of acquisitions in to the PARC.

Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree / higher or equivalent experience in relevant area 
  • Professional HR Certification or equivalent status 
  • Experience with shared service operating models, coupled with a wider understanding of the People function and how this connects with the business
  • Significant knowledge of People processes, India employment law, best practice and maintaining a professional People service to the business
  • Significant people management experience 
  • Significant practical knowledge of specialist area 
  • Significant experience influencing senior stakeholders and building strong relationship
  • Experience of setting up shared services models previously would be highly desirable

Management Experience


  • Extensive people management experience, ideally with experience of creating new teams
  • Experience of project management, including resource allocation, people development, project governance and financial assurance • Experience of managing complex changes, including system changes, statutory legal updates (e.g. auto-enrolment), and proactively planning for these change programmers • Experience of effectively managing multiple stakeholders within a global matrix organization is highly desirable.

Financial Experience


  • Evidence of development of Shared Services strategic plans that effectively achieve targets and objectives for the business • Significant experience of financial processes related to payroll, including reconciliation, P11Ds, complex bonus payments and working closely with Finance to interrogate the financial data
  • Strong understanding of pay types, pay legislation, employment law (for example, pay types for settlement agreements or redundancy calculations)
  • Experience of large corporate policy renewals, such as private medical insurance and group life assurance
  • Experience of pensions and associated legislation would be highly desirable
