Job DescriptionJob Title: Head of Medical Affairs, Clinical Operations and Patient Services
Location: India
About the role:
- This role provides strategic direction in alignment with GEM BU to Country Medical Affairs function and execution of the full scope of medical affairs activities ensuring data dissemination, data generation, medical excellence, medical leadership, medical knowledge/insight management, and medical community.
- Head of Medical Affairs, Clinical Ops & Patient Services is also in charge to manage Patient Services Program for LOC, being in charge for planning, developing and execution of all programs in LOC, leading effectively Patient Services organization.
- Ensures medical guidance and cross-functional collaboration in the areas of new product launches and in-line products.
- Plans, directs and oversees the medical affairs operations in the country, encourages the optimum performance and provides development opportunities for all medical affairs employees in the country.
- Incumbent will manage the clinical operations, ensuring the successful execution of clinical trials and studies. This role demands strategic planning, operational excellence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to advance the development of our therapeutic areas
- Supports the regional teams in early access requests (IPRs, NPPs etc).
- Acts as a senior company representative both internally and externally.

What you bring to Takeda:
- A medical degree is preferred. Advanced scientific degree (PhD or equivalent) is acceptable if the applicant can demonstrate 15+ years of Medical Affairs and Management experience, including exposure to multiple (>3) therapy areas
- 4 years of experience leading teams at the brand or disease area levels in country, regional or global organizations is required
- Experience in leading a country medical organization (Medical Director) for at least 3 years is required
