Head of Learning and Innovation needed for an IB school in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
Immediate joining needed.
Role -
The Head of Learning and Innovation is responsible for fostering academic excellence, leading professional development, and driving key initiatives in curriculum development, accreditation, and school-wide innovation. This role is instrumental in shaping the school's educational landscape, ensuring alignment with IB philosophy, and pioneering new academic programs.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership & Innovation:
Lead and oversee the development of innovative learning strategies that align with IB pedagogy and international best practices.
Spearhead curriculum advancements and interdisciplinary learning initiatives.
Ensure the successful design, implementation, and evolution of the ADIS Senior School Diploma Program.
Chair the Accreditation & Evaluation Steering Committees to ensure compliance with international educational standards.
Collaborate with faculty and leadership teams to develop a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
College Counseling & Student Guidance:
Serve as the College Counselor or Advisor, guiding students through university application processes.
Establish a robust college counseling framework to support students’ higher education aspirations.
Develop relationships with global universities to enhance student opportunities.
Professional Development & Teacher Induction:
Coordinate teacher induction programs to support new faculty members in their transition to IB pedagogy and school culture.
Oversee and facilitate academic professional development programs to enhance instructional effectiveness.
Provide mentorship and coaching to faculty members in innovative teaching methodologies.
Teaching Commitment:
Maintain a 20% teaching load, modeling best practices in inquiry-based learning and instructional excellence.
School Operations & Planning:
(Responsibilities may be assigned based on school structure and future role evolution)
Oversee and coordinate the development of the whole school timetable to ensure smooth academic operations.
Develop and manage the whole school calendar, ensuring alignment with academic events, assessments, and IB requirements.
Oversee the implementation of collapsed timetables for special academic projects and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
Any other duties as assigned by the Heads.
Education -
Graduate or Postgraduate in any subject
Certification in College counseling
Skills and Experience -
Sound subjective knowledge for the college admission process
Strong communication skills (Written & Oral both)
Experience or familiarity of working with a college counseling software
Understanding of the Cambridge and the IB Curriculum
Strong administrative, organizational skills & IT skills
5 to 7 years of working experience in an international school
