Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Head of HR who has successfully set up the HR function in an owner driven manufacturing setup. The ideal candidate will be a strategic HR leader who can establish robust HR systems, implement best practices, and enable the organization to scale efficiently while fostering a strong company culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with business goals.
- HR Systems & Processes: Establish and institutionalize HR policies, frameworks, and processes from scratch.
- Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning: Design a structured hiring process to attract and retain top talent for manufacturing and corporate functions.
- Performance Management: Implement a performance-driven culture through structured appraisals, goal setting, and employee development initiatives.
- Training & Development: Design and execute capability-building programs to upskill employees at various levels.
- Compensation & Benefits: Develop competitive salary structures, incentive schemes, and employee benefits policies.
- Employee Engagement & Culture Building: Foster a positive work environment, improve employee morale, and enhance retention strategies.
- Industrial Relations & Compliance: Ensure compliance with labour laws, manage contract labour, and handle disputes effectively.
- HR Automation & Digital Transformation: Introduce HRMS systems to streamline HR operations and enhance efficiency.
- Stakeholder Management: Work closely with the owner and senior leadership to drive HR initiatives while ensuring alignment with business needs.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: 15+ years of HR leadership experience in an owner-driven manufacturing organization, preferably with multiple plants.
- Proven Track Record: Successfully set up HR functions, established processes, and built HR teams in a fast-growing environment.
- Manufacturing Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of labour laws, workforce management, and industrial relations in a manufacturing setup.
- Strategic & Hands-on Approach: Ability to balance long-term HR strategy with day-to-day operational HR responsibilities.
- Leadership & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to engage and align with business leaders, plant managers, and employees.
- Technology & Process Orientation: Experience in implementing HRMS and automation tools for better efficiency.
