Primary Functions & Responsibilities

To succeed in this role, the Graphics Associate must possess strong interpersonal skills, be a conceptual thinker, creative, articulate and can understand and convey a variety of concepts. Outstanding execution and organization skills combined with excellent judgment and exemplary ethics and values are imperative. Under supervision, the Graphics Associate will provide leverage across the following responsibilities:


  • Assist investment professionals with formatting, design and visual presentation aspects of marketing materials and presentations in conformance with firm branding standards. This includes but is not limited to PowerPoint decks, white papers, factsheets, RFPs, advertisements and newsletters.
  • Provide support with other dynamic content and graphics-intensive initiatives such as logos, employee photos and special conceptual design projects
  • The Graphics Associate provides ongoing support to the Senior Website Designer on website imagery and design enhancements as well as content edits (CMS, HTML) for all Ares websites.
  • Provide backup assistance for the Creative Solutions Lead Coordinator with the work requests queue and additional workflow coordination.
  • The Graphics Associate may, over time, additionally provide support on other dynamic content and graphics-intensive initiatives, such as podcasts, animation and videos.
QualificationsEducation:
  • College degree in Graphics Design or a related degree is preferred
  • 3-4 years of minimum work experience, preferably in the Financial Services industry
Experience Required:Highly experienced in:
  • Microsoft Office (e.g., MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • PowerPoint and MS Word template design and standardization best-practices
  • Acrobat Pro
  • Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (i.e., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). After Effects, Premiere, Audition and Adobe XD experience preferred.
  • HTML or other coding experience preferred

  • Highly resourceful; able to collaborate; strength in time management with high stakes deadlines
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner
